It insults the intelligence level to say, as the bring them home web site does, that these three IRA guys were deep in the Colombian bush for 'political discussions' with the Farc.

spent fourteen years in Prison for being in the wrong place at the wrong time and being the wrong type of national.
During those 14 years he was deprived visitors for stretches appraoching a year due to his unwarrented repolcation from prison to prison accross the UK prison service. He was innocent of all offences. The UK authorities knew that.
I think his judgement can be respected as regards the Colombia cases, and I believe 'correct me if I am wrong' that Paul Hill has consistently argued that the 3 will not recieve a fair trial in Bogota and that their incarceration is an infringement of thier human rights.

as for Colombia, it is a country at war with itself. Proper war. not the type you think to forget in Europe. A proper dirty bloody war which shows no sign of ending.

If you do not wish to listen to Paul Hill, find yourself some Colombians and ask them what is happening in their country.
ask them about "plan Colombia".
ask them about the price of coffee.
ask them about the Bolivarian dream.
