To not follow up on the unbelieveable success of Feb 15th would be suicide.

I have never seen the public so mobilized on a political issue, showing concern for a distant destitute people in a distant land.

Surely plans are afoot for another mass demo??

The 17th has a bit of a history in Ireland for people going out and marching, from a day of getting drunk and celebrating "paddyness", on through a spot of zealous religious overkill and then to the most recent incarnation of corporate jingoism.

It's a day for paddys, and most paddys seem to be for peace, so raise up your inflatable hammers, let fly your rainbow flags, take to the streets and show the world a PADDYS DAY FOR PEACE.

Seems to be the day - a Friday to organise a work stoppage, and also a school students strike (if the teachers some out - then that will be solved).
Lets get to it.

enough bickering, on with the marching , with a broad collection of groups. i hope the iawm/gg etc can put their differences aside for the bigger picture (the 100 or so thousand that marched on feb 15).

By communicating with the spirits, I have ascertained that the Bush regime will launch its attack on the night of Wednesday, March 12th or morning or March 13th. This will be done without a UN resolution. In the words of Dennis Halliday, "history will slaughter those responsible".

The March should be held to the US embassy. The idea that Chirac is taking this stance on the moral ground is daft. His interests are purely financial as is Russia's.It's not too long ago since Chirac was testing Nuclear weapons in the Pacific. It was also the french who sunk the Rainbow Warrior in Auckland.

The march of 15th February must be followed up soon by a new mass march organised by a coalition of movements and parties. The momentum set by the 15th February march must be kept up. The US and British governments are finding it increasingly difficult to justify this war as France, Germany, Russia and China have repeatedly expressed their opposition to it. We the people of Ireland must show these governments our support and our own government and the US and Britain that we are not going to accept this war. I suggest not having a march on the US Embassy or on our own Dail, but to march to the French embassy in support of President Chirac's stance.

We've all undergone a damascene conversion and we're all now in favour of US policy.
