Anarchist prisoner support gig this weekend in Dublin

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Wednesday March 05, 2003 11:55author by Joe Report this post to the editors

The time has come, another ten arrests at the weekend, one at the anti-war march in Dublin, five Catholic Workers in jail, Mary Kelly on bail etc. Now is the time to support political prisoners, or should we wait until we are all locked up.

From: johnny x

We have been pushing the idea of a war chest (get out of jail fund, legal expenses), for this to materialise, we are all going to have to work together, we are currently raising money for the Catholic Workers with a raffle, however, more must and can be done. We are having another benefit night for anarchist prisoners. It is EVERYBODYS duty to get involved because it is everybodys struggle. A support network has been set up SO USE IT!

Any ideas are always welcome at our weekly meetings.

BENEFIT NIGHT

The Gingerman - cheap beer - you know the score!
DJ Phil Bongoed - reggae, ragga
DJ Cormic - hip hop

$5 unwaged/$7 waged.
A BENEFIT FOR POLITICAL PRISONERS- Harold Thompson, Brian McCarvil and Rob Thaxton

Comrade - Methinks you dozy anarchists need solid organisational skills that only come from a rigid centralised party structure. All the best.

Is there any "reliable" bank account that one can send donations to? And is there any account that one can make cheques payable to?

I think the prisoners deserve to have this set up for them and then to have it widely advertised.
