The Phenomona of GLOBAL DISOBEDIENCE![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() an emergent property of New World Order. is exciting commentators and essayists and newspaper journalists at the moment. The new "buzz words" seem to be Disobedient. Civil. Non violent. Pacifist. Direct Action. You can expect lots of people to try and explain to you what these things mean. But it really is very simple, and as one of the original writers to use these phrases together I thought I should tell you where they came from. I am a freak, a hippy, trippy, anarkisty freak. I was introduced to number theory before logic, something that ensured years of silly sylogistic arguments. I was introduced to ethics before morality. My Mammy did it. The same woman who had responsibility for sending me to urinate in the Phoenix Park before the present Pontiff Jonh Paul 2 said mass (a great mass said by a great man) in 1979. She presented such sweet ethical debates and paradoxes to me as "would you kill someone to stop them killing your mammy? even if killing someone is a sin [a mortal sin she added]" oh sticky questions from the mammy of sticky bricky. I shall around for most of this century and shall do my best to explain what I see happening so if you still feel "left out" of the wondergul new situation where young people occupy embassys in war zones, where coincidently War trains are stopped in two European countries without any "tangible proof" of interconectedness than just go on reading. Have a nice disobedient weekend. amen to that. tribute to Martin Luther King the link is to a review of Dublins last RTS day the day that Germany elected the current Red/Green alliance. [the one that kind of supports peace] I wrote it when I was stoned so dont get too upset if it doesnt make sense. Global things donīt make academic sense. |
