Maynooth TRIBAL FREEDOM festival in March

Dear all,

After more than a month in Ireland now, and after my hearts, minds
and brain settled down, I am coming to you to thank you all for your
support: socially, economically and politically.

I just received an info from West Papua that the political situation
in WP is becoming uncertain due to:
1. a series of ambushes carried out by the Indos army in order to
blame the TPN/OPM and then get them sent back by force from PNG. even
though I was assured by the UNHCR for the Pacific, I am not in a
position to trust solely on their assurance. this return by force
will cause security problem.

2. Even though the Provincial government and local parliament of West
Papua refused the division of Papua province into three, Jakarta
seems not listening. Mega has appointed former vice government, a
high-ranking Indo intelligence officer from WP from the NAVY is now
the governor of Irian Jaya Barat, forgetting the name Irian Jaya is
no longer used.

This is clearly to create just exactly what happened in Ireland,
where northern part has been still under the colonial power, and the
southern won in the war for independence. The bird's head region of
West Papua has been the centre for Islamic Militant activities and it
has been regarded as potential for Indonesia to work and claim the
whole territory.

Sooner or later, Papuans will be divided, and already divided and
then Papuans will be fighting each other, blaming each other, etc.
Cleraly the BP/BG and Freeport / RTZ have contributed significant
financial support to move forward their programme of exploitations in
Papua soil.

I am aware that Papuans will react to these two problems and asking
for your support to stay on allert to react whenever the situation
becomes worse.
