Responds to the State of the Union

It is clear from George Bush's "war speech" (the State of the Union address) that February 5 has been selected as the "go date" for a declaration of war against Iraq.

Looks set to be the biggest demo ever on Saturday 15th.February against the war in London. Now they're trying to ban the rally in Hyde Park! As part of the build up join the FBU @ central fire station Saturday 12pm.

Subject: Fwd: VoteNoWar.org Responds to the State of the Union

Dear Vote No War Member,

It is clear from George Bush's "war speech" (a.k.a. the State of the Union address) that February 5 has been selected as the "go date" for a declaration of war against Iraq.
Thousands of people have expressed their intentions to descend on the White House in Washington DC the Saturday after the U.S. government begins laying siege to Iraq.
We are preparing for this emergency response mobilization.

On January 29, thousands of people in more than 100 cities are answering the call issued by the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition to demonstrate their opposition to Bush's plans for war and to bring a halt to his war drive. See below for a listing of cities and to find our what's happening in your hometown visit http://www.internationalanswer.
org/campaigns/j29/j29events.html. Please come out and join this visible presence of opposition.

On February 15, millions of people in Europe will take to the streets to oppose war against Iraq and they have asked the people of the U.S. to join in a display of international solidarity.

There will be mass actions in New York City and Chicago on February 15, in San Francisco on February 16, and in hundreds of other cities that weekend.

Information about the February 13-21 Week of Resistance, including the February 15 mass mobilization for New York City.
A downloadable pdf double-sided half sheet flyer is available at the VoteNoWar.org web site.

Other downloadable resources for distribution, including a "myth and fact" sheet, can be found at http://www.internationalanswer.

Your support is critical to the Anti-War movement.

In solidarity,
