Unfortunately and suprisingly some of Pat C's points are incorrect this time. In addition to the family connections, this statement is incorrect:
'secret spies' that train US forces are nazis amount to nothing more than a consperacy theory.

I dont think the original post refered to 'secret spies' I took it to refer to General Gehlen and many of his spies and many Nazis who were protected by the USA after the war was over. Some also went prop up US friendly, pro fascist regimes in Latin america and helped the USA hugely. I hope this helps somewhat.

The Bush family nazi connections are more than just conspiracy theories check your facts, the truth is very scary indeed...

I do not classify Bush as a fascist. The accusations that Bush has 'connections' with nazis in germany and that 'secret spies' that train US forces are nazis amount to nothing more than a consperacy theory.

I think that Chomskey is wrong on a lot of things, and he is very wrong in saying that nazis won the 2nd world war!!

Fascism was defeated in the west by another capitalist force, and in the east by the Red armt. The European bourgeoisie were verty badly burnt by fascism, and it did get defeated in WWII.

I see the point Pat is making and while he is not intellectually lazy unlike many on indymedia, I wonder if he has pondered any
of the following points:
The Bush family had connections with the Nazi in Germany. Remmember also that a lot of fascists were employed by the USA to train their spy services etc battles against the USA's enemies. Also remmember that Chomsky has said that fascism really won the second war. Some of Bush's new legislation is also fascistic.

Just to say it is good to read Pat C making sense on Indymedia. The points he raises are absolutely correct.

It's a funny picture - but no more.

We should know our enemies and be able to recognise them when they arise. This picture, while giving some photoshop head with too much time on his hands a useful lunchtime project, contributes nothing extraordinary to ongoing debates.

Take it for what it is.

I think that putting pictures out like that about Bush isn't necessarily a good idea. I'm against Bush as much as the next man, and i'm all up for making silly posters of him. BUT, Bush is not a fascist.

The reason why we have to careful about classifying someone as a fascist is because fascists shouldn't be given the right of free speech and assembly. Fascists should not be allowed organise etc. It's very serious to classify someone as a fascist.

In my opinion Bush is not a fascist. He is very right wing, and even appears as a Christian fundementalist to many. Far right politicians like Pim Fortyn were/are not fascists, they are far right wing populists. Similarly the Orange Order are not fascists, most (not all) loyalists are not fascists.
