Is Keir Starmer autistic? His public persona (or lack of), absence of interpersonal skills and obsessively technocratic outlook might lead us to conclude so. But that would be unfair on autistic people, says Steven Tucker.

Bin Charges Picket

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Monday December 09, 2002 11:30author by Justin Moran - Sinn Feinauthor email maigh_nuad at yahoo dot com Report this post to the editors

Dublin Sinn Féin will be holding a picket outside City Hall at 6pm this evening as the City Council meets to debate the Estimates for 2003. The City Manager has already indicated the charge may rise by as much as 30%, this following the government's decision to cut local authority funding by 5% in the Estimates. All welcome.

Is this picket called by "Sin" Fein or is it called by the Dublin Campaign Against the Bin Tax. Are Sinn Fein members of that campaign or have they their own campaign
Just curious

But then I'm so filthy rich (or dad-in-law anyway) that I don't need a medical card.

Would love to join Just A Moron at the meeting, but I have to work! Like many others. But tou and your mob just carry on doing what you do. Mind the Guards dont give you a wallop, you may need your medical card.

If bin charges are ok in Sligo, why are you against them in Dublin? also make sure all the sick notes are checked this time. An inspection of medical cards might not be a bad idea as well.

Will all of Sinn Fein's councillors be present this year or are any of them "sick" or attending other engagements?

we are using black bin liners to protest aginst the Oil spill thing of Galiizia.
REAlly easy. Put a big black pastic bin liner over your head.
Gather with a bunch of other big black feeling dirty plastic bin liner covered people and jump up and down simulating a wave.
Maybe ye could do this on the site of the Black Pool (dubh linn) which gave Baile Atha Cliath it´s anglo-norman name, and was situated between City Hall and the Olympia theatre?
The pool has been covered for many years (about two hundred) but is still there, more a wide bit of unseen Poddle river than a pool.
Love how you protest back in Erron.

You know, the SF councillor that did a deal to let in bin charges in exchange for making him mayor.
Just a question, no offence meant.
