'Eco-anxiety' affects 78% of children under 12, a crisis that teachers say they are unable to cope with, new polling by Greenpeace has found. The solution? More ruthless exposure of children to alarmist material.

Huge increase in spending on Secret Service in Ireland

85% Increase in spending estimated

The Irish Times graph showing the "winners and losers in the estimates" for government spending in 2003 shows that the State will expected to increase spending on "Secret Service" by %85. There aren't many increases expected, but the next largest is 16% for the Office of the DPP. What the hell are they spending all that money on?

What are these secret services that the government plan to invest so intensively in? And how come in all the reporting about the estimates so far this issue hasn't be raised?

No doubt because these are "secret" services there won't be a public record of what our money is being spent on exactly.

Below is a link to an article from The Phoenix "PADDIES JOIN GLOBAL SPY NETWORK" about Ireland's participation in the ECHELON spy system.

Secret service operations are costly. Flooding working class estates with smack/crack is also costly. Some one has to buy the smack/crack to bring into Ireland. Along the way many palms must be greased. Setting up smack/crack/vice operations all costs money you know. Where does this money come from? the public purse of course. Infiltrating anti capitalist organisations, takes money too, setting up new identities, giving people whole new personas, lifestyles, histories, jobs etc. things like this dont come cheap. Agents must be trained up to the highest standard, they must live and breath their role, in order to gain the trust of others in the infiltrated organisations. Placing agents within unions, within work places, factories etc all costs dosh.

Now, come on, "Secret agents"?
There are no secret agents.
The secret "Special Agent" at Shannon told me so.
(although he wouldn't tell me his name, or agency)
in case it wasn't clear in the article, the guy was Irish and said he was working for the Irish government.

2 MI5/6 FRU operatives, sold smack in brixton in the 1980's to punks/anarchists etc, amongst their customers, a certain actor and actress, four weddings and a funeral say no more. the smack selling couple then turned up in belfast in the early 1990's and set up their smack pushing operations in hatfield st, lower ormeau. They were only busted in 1999, although the pigs were well aware of their operations for many years, the female of the couple was training to be a probation officer!, and through her training to become a probation officer worked in youth clubs across north and west belfast, whilst still taking smack, and selling smack, presumably to young people at those youth clubs. the male of the couple was arrested for drunk driving, but continued to drive unchallenged for some time, under the influence of smack and drink, untill he was arrested for importing smack into northern ireland. Surprise, surprise he is now out of the slammer, released to continue he vital work for the intelligence services.
