| Bin Tax Protest 2day?![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 6-7pm City Hall? Sorry for the lateness of this, but since I haven't heard from anyone is there an Anti Bin Tax Protest 2Day? And if so will it be at the usual time and place, ie from 6 to 7 outside City Hall, Dame Street? With this being the 2nd last or last Meeting, depending on what date in May the Election is held, Meeting of Dublin City Council before the Election, I think that it's very important to show both the Councillors and the Public at large that the Bin Tax will be a very big issue in the upcoming Election Nationwide. By the time of the next City Council Meeting the Election may very well be over!

Hi Paul,
I saw your question on www.indymedia.ie about if there is a Bin Tax
demo today?
On that I don't know, -however I have put together a website for the
DunLaoghaire/Rathdown
group at www.StopTheBinTax.com They have been very slow to send me
any updates
on what is happening in the campaign and so far have not printed the
web address on
any of their literature. (They have paid for the site and domain name)
However it was suggested that the site, should be the main site for
each of the bin tax
campaigns in Dublin and maybe else where.
So I assume you are from the Dublin City bin tax campaign and if that
is so, if you have any
info you want posted, just send it to me and I will try and get it
online. If you can get details
of meetings & protests in advance then these can also be put online.
The most important thing though, is getting the site address on all
your posters and campaign
literature (assuming you want to use it) as otherwise nobody knows the
info is there and
if that's the case it may as well not exist.
By the way on the website I have a table of who voted for/against the
bin charges in DL/R.
Maybe the same could be done for Dublin City?
Anyone let me know if you are interested. Again I have to stress that
getting the site URL
on posters and leaflets is the key thing. Otherwise it won't work.
see www.StopTheBinTax.com
regards
Terry
