Including a biased media and a loaded referendum commission and huge IBEC and FF slush funds The Result is not as bad as could be expected. Roger Cole in yesterdays Irish times points out that 40% was a very impressive result for the under funded NO campaigns and that the issues that produced this splendid vote will not go away by the time of the next referendum in 2004. Other articles in the indo pointed out that the treaty in 2004 will be even worse and Ireland will be expected to give even more away, but they won’t be able to misuse the enlargement smokescreen next time out. No doubt they will come up with another red herring and depend on media induced ignorance and one sided funding to undemocratically win another vote for the creation of the EU superstate.

To all the NO CAMPAIGNERS, a well done from Canada. You didn't lose - you all worked hard and stood nobely against massive and outrageous opposition. Their shame and lies will be exposed in due course. In the meantime, onwards and upwards with determined and weary hearts!
Shine on!!!
