ZIONAZIS KILL CHILREN FOR SPORT

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Thursday October 03, 2002 10:09author by Nadia Report this post to the editors

Roll call of 322 children killed in the intifada In the bloody violence of the Israeli-Palestinian war as of 01 October 2002, the most tragic victims are the very young, now considered 'fair game'

In one of its most shocking reports on the Israeli-Palestinian war, Amnesty International today condemns the zionazis for their "utter disregard" for the lives of children – .

In a 29-page report containing some of the most painful evidence amassed on child-killing in the occupied territories, the organisation blames zionazis for "excessive and disproportionate use of lethal force" and "reckless shooting" in residential areas,

The solemn list of dead children that Amnesty has collected shows just how ingrained child-killing has become. There is Sami Jazzar, shot in the head by an zionazi soldier on the eve of his 12th birthday in Gaza, 11-year-old Khalil Mughrabi, killed by an zionazi sniper in Gaza – one of his friends survived after being shot in the testicles by a high-velocity round – and 10-year-old Riham al-Ward, killed in her Jenin schoolyard by a zionazi tank shell.

Amnesty's condemnation has rarely been so scathing. "The pattern of killings of children which has become so entrenched and widespread in the past two years developed against a background of impunity for the perpetrators of such crimes," it says.

Despite repeated claims to the contrary: "No judicial investigation is known to have been carried out into any of the killings of children by members of the IDF in the occupied territories, even in cases where zionazi government officials have stated publicly that investigations would be carried out." None of the zionazi soldiers responsible for these crimes is known to have been brought to justice, Amnesty says.

In the first seven months of this year, more than 100 Palestinian children have been killed by zionazi gunfire, 48 per cent of them 12 years old or younger. Amnesty pulls no punches about who is to blame. The majority of these children, it says, "were killed when the IDF randomly opened fire, or shelled or bombarded residential neighbourhoods and scholl yards in Palestinian towns and villages. Most of these children were killed when there was no exchange of fire and in circumstances in which the lives of the soldiers were not at risk."

The most terrible incident – praised by the zionazis Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, at the time as a "great success" – was the attack by Israel on Salah Shehada, a Hamas activist, which also slaughtered nine children along with eight adults. Their names give a terrible reality to this bloodbath: 18-month old Ayman Matar, three-year-old Mohamed Matar, five-year-old Diana Matar, four-year-old Sobhi Hweiti, six-year-old Mohamed Hweiti, 10-year-old Ala Matar, 15-year-old Iman Shehada, 17-year-old Maryam Matar. And Dina Matar. She was only two months old. A zionazi air force pilot dropped a one-ton bomb on their homes from an American-made F-16 aircraft on 22 July.

Amnesty says if international monitors had been deployed on the ground – and the zionazis have repeatedly refused to allow this – many of the children's lives might have been spared. What the international organization does not say, but which its report makes abundantly clear, is that children have become "fair game" for zionazis ethnic cleansing war. Innocence, as usual, has been trampled by two brutal antagonists.

"We condemn the zionazis..."

Do you think people take you more seriously because you've gone through that article and changed 'IDF' and 'Israeli' for 'zionazi'? Is someone going to read it and think, "Oh yeah, they're _nazis_! How come I never noticed THAT before?"

This is a good report undermined by some stupid word substitutions.

Response to Amnesty International's Report - "Killing the Future:
Children in the Line of Fire"
(Communicated by the IDF Spokesman)

For the past two years ,the IDF has been engaged in difficult and
intensive fighting against Palestinian terrorist factions. During
this period of fighting, which was imposed upon the State of Israel
and the IDF, Palestinian terrorist factions perpetrated over 14,500
terror attacks, claiming the lives of 624 Israelis.

All IDF operations adhere to international humanitarian law, in
strict compliance with the highest moral and legal standards. In
glaring contrast, Palestinian terrorist factions defy all norms, be
they moral or legal, deliberately attacking civilians only because
they are Israeli, as described at length in the report. Amnesty
International has labeled the Palestinian suicide attacks as crimes
against humanity.

As part of its adherence to the rules of the conduct of war, the IDF
goes to great lengths to avoid harming civilians, especially
children. This concern is an integral part of soldier training, of
the regulations governing when to open fire, of orders issued by
commanders, of operational plans, and of the message conveyed by the
highest-ranking officers.

Regrettably, some civilians, including children, have been injured
during the fighting against the Palestinian terrorist groups. In no
case were these injuries intentional. Those hurt were either
individuals involved in Palestinian terrorist activity, or civilians
who were unintentionally hurt when they entered a live-fire zone.

The Palestinian terrorists are solely and unequivocally responsible
for the injuries caused to Palestinian children. Since the beginning
of the conflict two years ago, the Palestinian terrorist factions
have cynically exploited children in terrorist activity, in violation
of international law. Children are groomed and dispatched to carry
out suicide attacks in the centers of the Israeli civilian
population; positioned at the front lines of demonstrations to hide
snipers behind them; and used to plant explosives and deliver
weapons. Moreover, the terrorist factions have transformed
Palestinian civilian population centers into terrorist activity
headquarters.

One must keep in mind that the Palestinian society and several
international organizations have denounced the abuse of children by
Palestinian terrorist factions. For one, the UN Secretary General
condemned the phenomenon in his report of Operation Defensive Shield.
It must be mentioned that the Palestinians publicly acknowledged that
terrorist organizations paid Rafah Palestinian children 5 NIS
(roughly equal to $1 each) to thrust explosive charges towards IDF
soldiers. Forty of those children were injured and became amputees
(Al-Rai newspaper, 20 June 2002). Unfortunately, the UN report does
not mention this particularly abominable Palestinian practice. Those
who use children to perpetrate terror attacks and those who use
houses where children reside to coordinate and perpetrate attacks are
responsible for these childrens' injuries.

Authors of the Amnesty report compare IDF operations in which
Palestinian children were killed to Palestinian terror attacks in
which Israeli children were killed. This comparison is unjustified
and baseless. Palestinian terror attacks, especially suicide
bombings, are designed to cause the death of Israeli civilians,
including children. This is ruthless, unprecedented, inhuman terror.
On the other hand, IDF activity is conducted in accordance with the
laws of war and is not aimed at injuring civilians. Injuries are
occasionally sustained only because Palestinian terrorists act from
within Palestinian civilian population centers. Hence, equating the
two sides is baseless, and indicates a fundamental lack of fairness
amongst authors of the report.

The authors falsely claim the IDF does not investigate incidents in
which Palestinian children are injured, and grants immunity to the
soldiers involved. The fact is that IDF commanders do investigate
incidents in which Palestinian civilians were injured. When suspicion
of criminal misbehavior by soldiers arises, the Military Police
launches an inquiry. Since September 2000, the beginning of operation
Ebb and Flow, over 220 inquiries have been launched by the Military
Police, including incidents in which Palestinian minors were injured.
As examples, the Military Police launched inquiries regarding the
following incidents: the death of Palestinian children near Khan
Yunis on 22 November 2001; the death of Yasser Kassabi from Kalandia
on 8 December 2001; the death of Muhamad Hassan Altalalaka near Beit
Hanoun on 1 March 2002; the death of children in Jenin on 21 June
2002; as well as many other incidents. The claims that incidents are
not investigated and soldiers enjoy immunity are false. The fact that
the IDF investigates and establishes commissions of inquiry, even
while in the midst of intense fighting, is part of its identity as a
professional army.

The IDF is dedicated to upholding "purity of arms" and preserving
human dignity, and regrets any injuries to innocent children. The IDF
emphasizes that the cynical use of Palestinian children by
Palestinian terrorist factions is the main cause of their injuries.
The IDF applauds the report's implicit condemnation of Palestinian
terror attacks against the Israeli civilian population.

i've already had this discussion at length with ray.

i accept that you & ray disagree with me but i don't think it damages the effectiveness of the story or its ability to get thru to masses.

the only people who would doubt the veracity of the story due to the inclusion of "zionazi" are 'pseudo pacifist petit bourgeois life style anarchists', zionists & west brits(republicans fly palestinian flag, therefore palestinians are evil).

upsetting & annoying the above listed is an achievement to be welcomed.

"All IDF operations adhere to international humanitarian law..."

Does that include rocket attacks on cars in busy streets, and buildings in civilian areas. I notice you quote the number of Israeli citizens killed by Palestinian actions. How many Palestinians have been killed by Israeli actions in the same time?

Response to the report states that "The Palestinian terrorists are solely and unequivocally responsible
for the injuries caused to Palestinian children."

Firstly, who does the shooting there? Secondly, why are they being punished for the actions of others? Don't try and tell me that a 5 year old really understands the complex politics of the arab-israeli conflict.

"As part of its adherence to the rules of the conduct of war, the IDF
goes to great lengths to avoid harming civilians, especially
children."

I think that it's blatantly obvious that the IDF in reality are not doing this. If they were then why are we seeing these ridiculous amounts of Palestinian children killed? Can you answer that Lina or Ray with a plausible reason? No I think that you are gonna find that one impossible to do.

"Those hurt were either
individuals involved in Palestinian terrorist activity, or civilians
who were unintentionally hurt when they entered a live-fire zone."

Exactly, what idiots those Palestinian civilians are. What do you think that you are doing trying to get back to their homes after a nice stroll around the block, going to the local shop or playing in their school playground?

I think the term zionazi is unnecessary but that Zionists they are racists and are attempting to ethnicly cleanse an entire people.

'Intransigent' asks, about the IDF killing children
- Can you answer that Lina or Ray with a plausible reason?

I'm criticising the use of the word 'zionazis', because I think its inaccurate, needlessly provocative, and alienating. That in no way means I defend the actions of the IDF or Israeli government. I think they're a brutal occupying force that are trying to drive the Palestinians out - that makes them a lot of things, but not nazis.
