This year we are very excited to welcome Professor Salman Abu Sitta Founder and President of the Palestine Land Society. The Palestine Land Society is an independent non-profit scholarly society dedicated towards research and information-gathering on Palestine, the land and its people. The organization does this by:
Documenting Palestine’s history, geography, culture, and society;
Reviewing legal, economic, socio-political and other related issues;
Disseminating information by publishing books, maps, and academic papers on the subject;
Participating in all fora of events, conferences, and meetings that are concerned with the subject.
The title of Professor Salman’s talk is;
“Palestinian Right of Return: Sacred, Legal and Feasible”
Our other main speaker will be Sinn Fein MEP(Member of the European Parliament) Martina Anderson. As an MEP, Martina has regularly raised the cause of Palestine in Brussels and was chair of the EU Delegation to the Palestinian Legislative Council (DPLC) that was refused entry to Palestine in 2015. Martina is currently a member of the EU Delegation for relations with Palestine (DPAL)
As usual we will be offering Palestinian cuisine for a small fee and have a stall selling Palestine solidarity items including Kuffiyeh scarfs from Al Khalil (Hebron) among many other items.
We look forward to seeing you on the day.
