Abbey Hotel, 52 Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1.
This is the first in what is hoped to be a series of events run by the Dublin Social Centre initiative. This particular event is to encourage discussion around financial systems and alternatives.
We will be showing the short film 'Money As Debt' (50mins) at 7.00pm, to be followed by a discussion with Cathal Spellman, of Fair Money Ireland, about the issues raised in the film.
What is the Dublin social centre initiative -
A citizen based, non-political party collective. Our aim is to create a social centre that is a welcoming space. To be run as a co-operative, without any outside control or influence, to encompass everything from political discussion to artistic endeavour.
Funding will be donation based.
It will be a not-for-profit organisation.
structured on a non-hierarchical participatory basis.
Until we have our own location we will endeavour to put on events to stimulate interest in other locations around Dublin.
